Team Singapore has unveiled its lineup for the upcoming World Youth Scrabble Championship (WYSC) 2025, to be held from 30 August to 1 September at Sri Kuala Lumpur International School, Malaysia. The squad features a mix of fresh faces and returning talents, all eager to make their mark on the international stage.
Cyril Xavier Hong, who represented Singapore at WYSC 2023, brings valuable experience to the team, while Koen Ong, Gregory Wee, and Ho Xuan Lei return after their participation in the 2024 edition. Their familiarity with the intensity of world-level competition will be an asset to this year’s campaign.
Joining them are Keith Teo, Tristen Tan, Fong Ee Wern, Jeremy Wong, Ernest Chua, and Javier Lee, all set to make their WYSC debuts. The team is further bolstered by non-quota players Samuel Lim, Tan Shi Heng, Wayne Danielson Ho, and Beh Poh Yee, who will gain crucial exposure in this high-level environment.
With a strong blend of seasoned players and newcomers, Team Singapore is primed for an exciting run at WYSC 2025. The squad will be aiming to build on past performances and showcase the nation’s growing depth of young Scrabble talent.
